Tom Trago is het afgelopen decennium actief in de muziek. Als ijzersterke producer, maar ook als DJ. Tom brengt een unieke zeer aanstekelijke combinatie van Disco en Techno. En dat het aanstekelijk is blijkt uit zijn enorme populariteit, die maar blijft groeien en groeien.

Na zijn instant classic ´Live at the bbq´ uit 2006, zijn een 8-track EP ‘Voyage Direct’ uit 2009, komt Tom Trago in 2011 met zijn album ‘Iris’. Hiermee vestigt hij definitief zijn naam en is hij niet meer weg te denken uit de line-ups van de grote festivals en clubs in binnen- en buitenland, en vliegt hij de hele wereld over van Berlijn tot Los Angeles. Kortom deze man mag je niet missen!

In 2009 Trago released Voyage Direct, an 8-track EP which envisions his philosophy on Disco and House music. In that same year he was invited to conduct with the Kindred Spirits Ensemble during Amsterdam Dance Event. The Voyage Direct series is now a sublabel of Rushhour, releasing records by Awanto 3, Dexter and Legowelt.
In order to create and share music with like-minded producers, Trago initiated 08Bar, a music platform founded in 2005 to stimulate talent and promote new productions. Collaborations such as Alfabet and Yuro Trago grew from there and now Trago produces several artists locally as well as internationally. Together with Parra he released two edit compilations: Edith Niaf and The Von Small Hausen edits.

March 2011 will see the coming of his first full length solo album entitled Iris. It features collaborations with great artists such as Tyree Cooper, Oliver Daysoul, Ommas Keith and Romanthony.

Tom Trago has held down residencies in Amsterdam (Jimmy Woo/Melkweg/Paradiso) and as part of Parra Soundsystem in Bern (Club Bonsoir/Wasserwerk) and Paris (Le Paris Paris/Regine). He has been invited to play in cities like Berlin, London, Los Angeles and Sydney and promises to continue.

In February 2011 the first album-single will be released. This summer will include a tour to promote his new album Iris, new Alfabet releases, remixes and other collaborations are coming up, and stay tuned to his Voyage Direct Radio show at Red Light Radio.

Two decades later, HEY! has evolved to encompass two labels [HEY! Records & EC Records], regular HEY! parties, the HEY-Muzik radio show, as well as a string of awards and chart soaring productions. With performances taking him around the globe each week from Time Warp to Tokyo to Ibiza, Michel’s career and accomplishments show no signs of stopping – just like the global clubbing crowds that he moves on the dancefloor. Funky, sexy & smooth. This is the techno and techhouse sound that defines Michel De Hey. A sound that can be heard scorching the global club systems each week as well as frying the radio waves, courtesy of his show HEY-Muzik. Broadcast nationwide every Friday on Fresh FM it won the top prize in 2009 for Holland’s best ‘dance radio show’. Michel is no stranger to dance music awards though, he’s received a string of nominations for best Techno DJ over the years, claiming the prize an impressive four times. With this in mind, it’s no surprise to know that since 2003, London based agency Litheum has been managing all his performance dates outside of Benelux, alongside the likes of DJ greats Carl Cox and John Digweed. But it was already in the eighties that he started to mix and DJ. His first producing break came in 1992 with the aptly titled release “Break” where he shot into the top 10 of the US billboard Dance Charts.
Now living in Amsterdam, the charts have been a second home to him since then, residing there across the years as both a solo artist as well as his genius collaborations with artists such as M.I.R.K.O. Together they co-created The Fast Forward Anthem “Be My Guest” [EC Records] which soared to the number 1 spot in the 2004 Dutch Pepsi charts as well as Beatport welcoming them back to their top ten last year, with “Be My Love” on imprint Noir.
As well as being a clubclass producer and international DJ, Michel champions the Dutch techno and techhouse sound through his involvement as an ambassador and anthem maker for Holland’s annual festival FFWD, the Dutch equivalent of Love Parade, as well as his mixes on an impressive list of compilations. These mixes so far include the ‘Essential Elements’ series, the ‘Technological Elements’ series, Dance Valley on Ibiza’ ‘Dance Valley Main stage Edition’, ‘Syntec’, ‘MDH 01’ ‘Two faces’, ‘Recorded in Rotterdam’ and ‘No Nonsense’. His latest release is just out on his own label, HEY! Records Above all though, it’s his DJ sets that have branded him a pioneer of the underground techno scene and sent his status soaring to Holland’s #1 techno and tech house DJ, guaranteeing him a summer residency in Ibiza every Friday (SuperGround by SuperMartxe, PrivilegeIbiza) as well as a stage each week on the global club circuit (including party hotspots: Ibiza’s Space, Japan’s Womb and Wire Festival, Time Warp in Germany and Holland, Monegros in Spain, Circo Loco at DC10, Cocoon, Creamfields and many more). From Ibiza to Indonesia – Michel de Hey guarantees quality long sets that entertain, engage and cook the dancefloor. In 2011 the successful HEY! club nights, which already has seen guests like Ricardo Villalobos, Gaiser, Karotte, Paul Kalkbrenner, Josh Wink and many more, continue their party crazyness. Middle of the 90s:
The Reeves move to Germany – a new start for the young DJ. Mark starts to visit clubs like The Omen and extends his horizon by the sound played in Frankfurt (Germany) by Sven Väth, Ricardo Villalobos and others. However, his homebase sound remains tech house and techno with groovy rhythms and bang out beats and most importantly, that hip swinging touch.

Mark is now known as a non stop DJ. As an artist, he has now had his most important releases on cult label, Cocoon Recordings but also Traumschallplatten, Trapez and Monique Musique. His tracks are always a mixture between dancefloor moovers – including groovy rhythms – and big basslines.

In 2012, Mark teamed up with Cocoon duo Pig & Dan, which has proved to be an amazing partnership. Soma Records is the first label to finish the final step and release the first EP, which is available now. Mark will also be releasing his own EP on Soma in May, which makes everything complete. Not only can his original tracks be heard, but also remix projects have been started and finished from Extrawelt, Arnaud Le Texier and Moonbeam – just to name a few.
